Tonight’s Leafs-Bruins game included the usual second intermission HNIC panel.
Nick Kypreos says the injury to Auston Matthews has, “been described to me as a second degree shoulder separation. So ... typically, that is two-to-four weeks, and in the Leafs’ case, they don’t want to rush [him] back.”
The panel continues on to discuss the latest trade news and rumours which is rife with Erik Karlsson discussion.
But of interest to us the Leafs are looking at Tomas Plekanec, and the Bruins are heavily in on Rick Nash.
In other news, Patrice Bergeron left the ACC tonight in a walking boot. No idea if this was a late-game injury or something he is playing through.
Patrice Bergeron leaves #Bruins dressing room wearing walking boot on right foot/leg.

Various people reported he blocked a shot and felt some pain after. So not serious for Bergeron.
