Methods of coping with being a Leafs fan
Thus far this season as being a Maple Leaf fan has been exceptionally rough. Much like my favorite episode of Supernatural where a trickster (a demi god really) decides to torment the Brothers Winchester by having Sam be stuck in the same Tuesday and it only ends when Dean dies in some hilarious manner. Then it starts all over again with Sammy waking up to Asia's Heat of the Moment.
Its the same for the Leafs. If it's not the defense, it's the netminding. If not the goalie troubs, the offense. Then we cry ourselves to sleep and wake up to Darude's Sandstorm and live the whole same game over, but not. I just want to wake up one morning with a game in the "win" column. The air will feel cleaner, the sun brighter and I'll have a skip in my step. The important thing is to not dwell on our doldrums. Keep it cute, or put it on mute.
Tonight the Leafs will be playing the Rangers but this time in their own arena. That's a plus, right? The last time they squared off the Rangers did some damage and Sean Avery was clutch for New York.
