The Leafs have invited Brandon Prust to camp on a PTO (tryout). The pursuit of toughness continues.

Today, news broke that 32-year-old Brandon Prust was invited to Leafs camp on a PTO. After two seasons annoying everyone in the Atlantic Division with his antics, he was thankfully shipped out to the Pacific division, where the Atlantic only had to see him a few times a year.
Prust was traded from Montreal to Vancouver for (now Oiler) Zack Kassian. Kassian played no games for the Canadiens, while Prust played at least part of a season with the Canucks. Did Montreal actually win this trade?
After 35 games last season with the Canucks, Prust cleared waivers on February 2, and played 9 games with the Utica Comets. Then he injured his ankle and came to a "mutual decision" with the Canucks organization that he would return home to rehabilitate. He had 1G/6A in 35 games with the Canucks, and exactly the same production in 9 games with the Comets. His demotion to the Comets was his first time spent in the AHL since the 2007-08 season.
At some point this summer, Chris Johnston tweeted, Lou Lamoriello met with Prust before asking him to come to camp. Lou claims that no risk is involved in the try out.
"My goal isn’t to start in the AHL," Prust told Puck Daddy. "I would like to go to camp and just be able to prove I still belong."
His cap hit with the Canucks was 2.5M.

Here are a few of my favorite moments of Brandon Prust, Canadien. I didn't bother to watch him with the Canucks.
In this clip, Prust's playoff contribution was to hammer Tampa goaltender Ben Bishop from behind while Bishop was playing the puck behind the net. Tampa won that playoff series. Sorry, Habs.
In this clip, Prust spears his Atlantic division BFF Ben Bishop, just casually.
Here, Prust finds his proper level of play in the AHL, fighting Tyler Lewington of the Hershey Bears.
And of course, there's

You can see plenty more of his "highlights" over here at Hockeyfights.
At least his Blue Jays feelings are in the right place.
Can someone tell our bullpen that when they have an 0 2 count maybe waste a couple in the frickin dirt #stupidjays

Who is a more annoying player than Brandon Prust?
Marchand | 239 |
Neal | 17 |
Roussel | 6 |
Paquette | 4 |
Prust is even more annoying because he has none of the upsides of these players. | 160 |
Oops I forgot Shaw | 49 |
