James Reimer vs Carey Price

Win or lose the Toronto Maple Leafs will finish their season tonight. They enter with 85 points in 81 games played and a second half run that made fans forget about their dismal first half play. A win tonight means that Boston would receive either the 10th or 11th pick overall in the draft to finish compensating them for Phil Kessel.

The season series between these clubs has Toronto winning 3 games to 2. If the Leafs win tonight they'll have won the season series against every team in the Northeast. Montreal is tied with Buffalo in the standings now, a win (and a Buffalo L or OTL) sees them face Boston while a loss will send them to Pennsylvania to face either the Flyers or the Penguins.

Matt Frattin has signed with the Leafs who have also called up Joe Colborne, acquired from Boston in the Kaberle trade. Both youngsters will make their debuts; Colborne between Joffrey Lupul and Phil Kessel, Frattin next to Tyler Bozak and Nazem Kadri.

A win would be beautiful but take a moment tonight and think about how different the roster is from two years ago. At 29 years old Mike Komisarek is the oldest player under contract for the Leafs next season. This is a young team with upside. This is a rebuild.
