Maple Leafs vs. Panthers
7:30PM EDT
Air Canada Centre
TSN 4 (blackouts in effect)
James Reimer returns to the ACC tonight as a Florida Panther. So will Jaromir Jagr... It's like this game is an episode of Archer.
"What year do you think this is?"
All I care about is that Reimer gets some kind of tribute (that makes it on air, TSN) in the game. No ceremony is necessary. They can do what they did for Kabby when he came back (don't click that link if you are a Kaberle fan and want to continue to pretend he was never a Bruin; or if you value good TV production and don't want to see HNIC botch the broadcast of the tribute).
Tonight is also the return of our old friend Greg McKegg, the never-quite-a-Leaf who famously wore 69 in exhibition games but had to change to 39 for his 4 regular season games when someone from PR finally clued in. Also, based on his facial expressions, we believe he farted a lot. The silent but deadly kind of farts.
But was that 69 a coincidence? Jaromir Jagr earned 69 points in his 1991-92 season with the Penguins. Greg McKegg was born during that season. Two decades later he's with the Leafs and wearing 69.
I DEMAND TO SEE THEIR LONG FORM BIRTH CERTIFICATES!
Meanwhile one of our Leafs has been busy in the off-season with a personal project.
Hyman, a Toronto native, is about to publish his third children's book as part of 5-book deal. #hyman

No, that's not a joke. Zach Hyman really does write books about playing sports for kids. Last year his book Hockey Hero was published.
