Tonight's "NHL" game between Toronto and Edmonton is between the second last and last place teams in the NHL. The Maple Leafs are captain-less, set out on a rebuild that isn't based on dumb luck, while the Oilers "are serious this time, one more lotto pick then we'll buckle down and rebuild.", because it's always the 4th 1st overall pick that guarantees success.
Now that I shouted the basic info at you, let's go back to what we're here for, Mocking the Oilers. The Maple Leafs are heading to what is probably one of the least anticipated stops on the western road trip, Edmonton. Cold, desolate, Edmonton, in their ancient arena, in the middle of nowhere, at the same latitude as Siberia (or is it longitude? I always forget), but hey, they won cups only 25 years ago, not 50, so LOLOLOLOL LAFFS, right? Though everything will be saved once the Oilers move into the ICE DISTRICT, that new arena complex will make it all OK.
Unless you're an Edmonton taxpayer. Then you're screwed.
The Maple Leafs are coming off losses to Ottawa and Calgary, where the Oilers are coming off more losses and bad ones at that. But we're in the middle of Tank Wars 2016, so buckle up people, it's going to suck.
