Adam Brooks and Travis Dermott are in
On the second game of a back to back, the Maple Leafs have made two choices to their lineup. One, Jack Campbell is starting for the second straight night, Frederik Andersen will back up, hopefully I haven’t just jinxed him to play. Second, Adam Brooks and Travis Dermott will enter the lineup at forward and defense.
Brooks will be coming in at centre with Foligno out. This is Brooks’ first career NHL playoff game. Kind of surprised they didn’t wait until it was against the Winnipeg Jets, that would’ve been fun.
Dermott will be in as well on defense. He has been a healthy scratch on the back end behind Rasmus Sandin, who’s been commanding PP1. With the short turnaround between games, it came as a surprise that the team changed their power play personnel without a practice or two in between. If that’s so easy, William Nylander needs to be on the first unit immediately.
In terms of the lines, Simmonds moves up to the third line centred by Engvall and winged by Mikheyev. Kerfoot is between Nylander and Galchenyuk. Dermott is on the third pair with Bogosian.
