Good morning Toronto Maple Leafs fans!
It's the final Friday before Christmas and that means one thing: Vacation time!
Well, if you're a school aged kid anyway. Those wonderful two weeks off where you would play in the snow, get reminded how terrible daytime TV is, or get subjected to long car rides to visit far off relatives you barely remember.
Sure the first two may not apply much now with climate change and streaming apps, but that last one is something I'm subjecting my own kids to! Hurray!
And not everyone has vacation starting today or at all; our own Maple Leafs still have one more game to play tomorrow night against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Hopefully they show up.
You may have thought they were already on vacation last night, after putting up a stinker against the Sabres.
9-3 is an unforgivable score, especially to the forever rebuilding Sabres.
Look at it this way, we gave Sabres fans a great Christmas gift. We're just so generous.
And speaking of generous, I gathered some things to discuss just for you.
One thing you're taught in business is to always find the loopholes, and the New Jersey Devils did that by announcing they would be wearing their pride jerseys during player arrivals to the arena.
McDavid and Draisital joined in with pride tape during warm ups.
Just keep embarrassing the NHL, everyone.
Former Penguin, Capital, Devil, Flyer, Panther, Star, Ranger, and Bruin Jaromir Jagr suited up for his 36th season and got on the scoresheet.
A documentary on Ottawa Senators tank target and first round pick Alexei Yashinandre Daigle will be on Amazon Prime soon.
Finally, I thought Newfoundlanders were supposed to be friendly and charming? Way to break stereotypes b'ys!
Enjoy your day everyone!
