Good morning Toronto Maple Leafs fans!
It's officially the end of Wayne Simmonds NHL career.
After 15 seasons in the NHL, he's experienced something only a fraction of a percentage of hockey players get to. A decade and a half of professional hockey at it's peak, playing for the Kings, Flyers, Sabres, Devils, Predators, and Maple Leafs.
He made huge impacts everywhere he went; particularly in Philadelphia where spent that majority of his career.
His coming home to Toronto also meant a lot to Leafs fans:
People with his reach, prominence, and abilities can sometimes phone in or do a bare minimum of outreach, but he was on top of it every chance he got. Never a moment wasted.
With over 1,000 games, Wayne Simmonds made a huge impact, and we thank him for it.
Now, some other news.
