Saturday did not go well for Toronto's hockey teams.
First, the Sceptres lost to the Minnesota Frost 6-3, though we sure got amped up during the game with this goal:
Their next game is December 18 against New York.
Then the Maple Leafs lost to the Penguins 5-2. Here's our recap of that game:
The Leafs next game is Tuesday against the Devils in New Jersey.
Adding to those losses were the Toronto Marlies, losing their 5-4 to the Laval Rocket. Matt Murray started the game, but after about 15 minutes he left the net and then quickly reported to not be returning to the game. There was no further information about why other than Marlies Coach John Gruden saying "he tweaked something," but how serious is still not known.
In some good news from the game, Alex Steeves broke the franchise record for points getting his 169th with this goal:
The Marlies play a rare Tuesday night game this week, hosting the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (the Pokemon team!) at the Coliseum.
Other News
The Predators collapse this season compared to an ex-Leaf.
Goalies dropping the gloves.
Suddenly everyone loves going to Switzerland.
I don't even know where to begin with this suit.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. If you want to watch other teams playing hockey today (it's a guarantee one will lose each game for you to laugh at!) there's a lot of NHL games on the schedule starting from 1:00 p.m. ET with the untroubaled Rangers playing the sea monsters.
