The World Junior Summer Showcase is on and two Maple Leafs prospects are in the tournament for Hockey Canada, Easton Cowan and Noah Chadwick, and while there's no clips yet, they are talking to the media, and so are their friends.

A women's hockey tour is being launched in Europe that will feature Sweden, Switzerland, Finland, and the Czech Republic. Canada and the USA will also be invited, except in 2026 when the Winter Olympics are happening in Italy.
And a reminder to all that this weekend is the Caribbean Carnival, formerly known as Caribana. Lake Shore Blvd. is closed west of Bathurst Street for all of Saturday for the Grand Parade which runs all day, but peaks around noon and then ends at 8:00 p.m.. I could already see on Friday evening the City is packed full with tourists both for the Carnival and regular long weekend visitors. Expect travelling anywhere downtown to take much more time than normal.
