The Toronto Marlies are on to the AHL quarterfinals after they beat the Utica Comets in four games (best of five). The Rochester Americans, their opponents, beat the Syracuse Crunch in overtime of Game 5 to win their spot. An epic win for them and a crushing defeat for Syracuse.
