Like, come on guys. Just as the Mike Babcock and Columbus, just as he did, and the Bill Peters in Lethbridge of the CHL left the news cycle we now have a new one, courtesy of the just arrived in town: Wenatchee Wild!
The rumblings didn't last long, as the WHL announced hours later that Wenatchee head coach Kevin Constantine has been suspended.

Constantine was suspended on Sunday after the WHL’s independent reporting channel received a complaint regarding his conduct. Constantine is not permitted to have any contact with any member of the organization, including players, while the matter is being investigated.
So. Who's next?
And while we're on the subject of the CHL...
Update: The Canadian Hockey League said in May 2020 that it would pay $30M to settle three minimum-wage class action lawsuits.
The CHL and its three leagues - the OHL, QMJHL and WHL - had battled the lawsuits since 2014. Players suing the leagues argued teams are for-profit businesses and that players should enjoy protection under employment rights legislation.
A judge, however, froze settlement funds pending the outcome of other litigation involving the CHL.
In a court hearing in Quebec today, a lawyer for several former QMJHL players asked a judge to allow them to fire their previous lawyer.
The players' new lawyer tells me they want to rip up the settlement agreement so they can either negotiate a better deal or take their case to trial.
This has been a long time coming, but it's not over as the Q players want a better deal.
Last night the Leafs played the Ottawa Senators in their second preseason match, losing 4-3 in overtime.
Some players really stood out, such as Easton Cowen who had a huge game.
Going back to coaches, the Blue Jackets have added Dr. Mark Recchi as an assistant coach.
Sarah Nurse is getting ready for a big fall.
The CRA is investigating the Greater Toronto Hockey League for corruption and I'm not surprised. Teams are "bought" and "sold" like it's a giant swap meet as rich parents buy their kids way into teams.
On that great note, have a good day!
