Good morning Toronto Maple Leafs fans!
The most exciting time of the regular season, especially for bloggers, tweeters, and insiders. It's trade deadline week!
The Leafs already got down to business earlier this week by bringing back defender Ilya Lyubushkin on the cheap, to add some depth to the defense.
They have also gotten some additions with Joseph Woll and Calle Jarnkrok returning injury, as well as with Max Domi and Tyler Bertuzzi finding their game in Toronto finally.
That's not to say the Leafs will stand pay or not try and upgrade. Maybe another centre? Maybe a winger, but the biggest need, as always, is defence.
Well, whatever they do we have five days to speculate about it and then a few months to over-analyse everything.
Best time of the year!
The New Jersey Devils were the only team to make a move since the Leafs, when they acquired Kurtis MacDermid from the Colorado Avalanche for a seventh round pick and Zakhar Bardakov.
Get all caught up on Leafs rumors.
Come on Kenny, do something dumb.
Former Maple Leaf and current assistant coach with the OHLs Windsor Spitfires has been investigated and suspended from his duties by Hockey Canada for four weeks.
The incident in question seems to have come from his time with the Trenton Hawks where he was assistant coach from 2021-23. No word on what happened.
This is terrible. I met Mr. Beliveau once at a card show. He took his time signing my mother's card, flipped through the album, very nice man even after 2 hours of autographs. I hope they get the photo back.
Will Phil Kessel sign with the Canucks - or anyone else - before the deadline?
Enjoy your day everyone!
