Happy Saturday!

The Leafs are finally back on the ice tonight, kicking off a grueling stretch of 5 games in 8 days. We will have a preview of tonight's game vs. the Capitals up this afternoon. The Marlies are also playing, at the ACC no less! Send us some pics If you go to the game!

It was another wild night in the NHL with 24 teams in action. There were highlights, and a few definite lowlights.

Crosby - Dubinsky Incident

The big story from last night came out of Columbus. Brandon Dubinsky attacked Sidney Crosby in a frighteningly McSorleyesque manner.

Not satisfied with such a potentially dangerous cross check, Dubinsky goes for broke and breaks his stick on checking Crosby's back.

Stéphane Quintal needs to throw the book at Dubinsky for this.

Sidney Crosby escapes serious injury after a dirty hit to the back of the neck by Dubinsky.

Last Night's Other Highlights

Crosby was not the only victim of overzealous checks last night.

I guess it was open season on defenseless players last night.

There was also a classic and perfectly clean Kronwalling, yet the game had to stop so everyone could start a pushing and shoving scrum. It's gotten ridiculous this has to happen EVERY TIME someone takes a big hit now. Remember when big hits were delivered and the player would just skate back to the bench because they realised they should have been paying better attention?

Eight of last night's 12 games went to OT or a shootout, which apparently ties an NHL record and makes for really easy posts for NHL.com bloggers. Speaking of records, Patrick Kane tied Phil Kessel and Eddie Olczyk with points in 18 consecutive games, and Jonathan Toews continued his streak of trying to fight everyone.

Toews and Kane made a remarkable comeback for the Blackhawks last night. The Hawks were down 0-2 with 1 minute and 49 seconds left. They ended up winning in OT.

Randy to The Ducks! Species5!

Meanwhile Jack Eichel is busy abusing goaltenders' pride.

Giroux is better with the white board than Randy.

Should I cover Ovechkin at the point on a penalty kill? Nahhh. Why bother...... DOH!

OWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

This is deflected so many times it's like it's in a pinball machine.

"F*** YEAH!"

Collapse to the net! Collapse to the net! Oh, wait.

You are the wind beneath my wings.

"LOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!"

I love scoring off the butt.

WHAT. A. SAVE.

WHAT. A. SAVE.
