The young new Maple Leafs roster will hit the ice for their first game of the season tonight in Ottawa against the Senators. The Leafs have new goalies, new forwards, new defenceman, new everything.
The final changes to the roster were made yesterday. Brooks Laich, who was put on waivers a few days ago and not claimed, was sent down to the Marlies. The Leafs also added a new face at the last minute, claiming forward Seth Griffith off of waivers from Boston. You can read about the final roster here.

Other teams were making some final moves yesterday as well. The Sabres finally locked up hold-out RFA Rasmus Ristolainen, the Rangers terminated Nathan Gerbe who is bound for the Swiss league, the Penguins picked up Mike Condon on waivers, and the Jets waived Ondrej Pavelec LOL.
