Twenty-five games. That’s all that the Maple Leafs have played so far this season. That’s tied with the Columbus Blue Jackets for the least amount of games played so far this season. Meanwhile, several teams are already at 30 games. The Leafs’ status at the bottom of the Eastern Conference comes with a disclaimer where they have several games in hand.
Things blew up (as much as they can in Toronto these days) yesterday afternoon when the Leafs traded Peter Holland to the Arizona Coyotes. After a strong start to the season, Holland found himself in and out of Mike Babcock’s proverbial dog house — mostly in, really.
You can find more details about the Holland trade here, and his sweet goodbye to his hometown team here.
Otherwise, we’re sorry for the delayed FTB. Species has vanished and this post has been finished by a mysterious ghost.
