TSN's Hockey Insiders on the clarity NHL teams are looking for on the CHL and NCAA signing windows, what the NHL schedule could look like in 2026-27, if the NHL All-Star Game could be cancelled next season and the latest on pending free agents Kyle Palmeiri and Ryan Donato.
By signing windows, they mean the rights period of 2 years vs 4 years for CHL and NCAA players.
84-game schedule and a September start being considered for 2026-27, and could league cancel ’26 All-Star Game? My latest Rumblings for @TheAthletic ⤵️ https://t.co/vvSjcNy3uZ

It's interesting that the entire Insider Trading panel talked about the All-Star game as having been rendered pointless by the quality of 4-Nations. I bet the league doesn't see it that way.
Never let the facts get in the way of a good line:

For nothing. https://t.co/Bxl0m2S2fM
The Comets are in last place in their division and the Monsters are likely to make the playoffs.

The AHL's trade/loan deadline is tomorrow at 3 p.m. ET. @InsideAHLHockey
Players that can be moved before 3pm Friday:
1️⃣ AHL contracted players
2️⃣ NHL contracted players who were on AHL rosters when the NHL trade deadline passed last Friday.
Yesterday was the PWHL trade deadline:
Anna Kjellbin is 30, a Swedish national team defender, and she is in her first PWHL season. She played several years for powerhouse Luleå in the SDHL, which means she's good, but also that she was insulated by some of the best defenders in the SDHL. Kaitlin Willoughby was the 13th forward a lot of the time, and the signing of Laura Kluge made her a player the Sceptres could trade.

That's it for today, see you tomorrow when the Leafs host the Senators.
