Last night I watched the Rangers-Flyers game and it was a fun one. Neither team is overly impressive (though the Rangers look like the clearly superior team) and make enough mistakes to create chances at both ends of the ice. I feel bad for guys like Eric T., but if his team wants to trade chances with Ray Emery in their net and Henrik Lundqvist at the other end, this could be a quick series.
Check out the recaps from last night's games over at their respective SBN blogs:
From Blueshirt Banter.
Blackhawks drop Game 1 to Blues in triple OT
From Second City Hockey.
I want to see the Sharks win it all.
Colorado beats Minnesota in OT
Avs should win this series pretty easily, I'd say.
Now for some Leafs news. The team announced that Jake Gardiner will be joining team USA for the World Championships, and Nazem Kadri, Morgan Rielly, and James Reimer will join Team Canada. It's going to be very interesting to see how they do.
Here's a link for that from TSN
I guess some other guys are going too, but who cares about players from other teams?
Here, we have an interesting podcast that you should definitely listen to. Friend of the blog Steve Dangle has coaxed Steve Simmons into doing a podcast with him. I'm keen to see how this turned out.
The article is posted at The Leafs Nation.
This is another post from TLN but this time from Jim Lang.
