The Leafs continued their strong start to the season with a 4-1 win over the Seattle Kraken. The first and second lines each scored two goals, with the Tavares line being the star of the show with some jaw-dropping goals. Joseph Woll allowed one late in an otherwise spotless night.
Here's Berube's quotes from after the game, talking about a variety of topics. He complimented Knies and the second line, didn't extend the conversation about TOI for Nylander. He mentioned scoring first is important but that he couldn't recall what it means for outcomes.
I did the math relatively quickly for you all and here it is. Over the last three seasons, the team who has scored first has won 65% of their games.
