That's right. The Edmonton Oilers want their fans to pay $80 to get access to the CONCOURSE OF THE ARENA.

No view of the ice.

No access to a seat.

$80 to watch the game on TV and pay arena prices for beer and snacks and food while standing the entire time.

People get crazy at playoff time so these will sellout. The in arena atmosphere is fantastic to be a part of, but you have to be in the seating bowl to get the full effect.

You know what the worst part of this is? Adding more people to the concourse just makes the trek out to get food or drinks or use the bathroom even worse for the people who paid hundreds or thousands of dollars for seats in the bowl.

The lines at games are already way too long, you can end up spending most of intermission in a line and miss a goal when the period resumes. Add in another couple hundred people?

Add to this that they probably aren't organizing any viewing parties:

It is horse shit because the Maple Leafs are having FREE viewing parties for every game.

Way to go Oilers. Way to make the Buffalo Sabres look reasonable.
