In 2015, the Toronto Maple Leafs snagged Dymtro Timashov in the fifth round of the NHL draft, 125th overall. The Swedish winger had come over to North America for his draft year, opting to spend his 2014-15 season playing for the QMJHL's Quebec Remparts. He put up 90 points in 66 games.
Jump forward a year later, and he scored 85 points over a 57 game season, increasing his output from 1.36 points per game to 1.50. Oh, and the 28 points through 21 playoff games for Shawinigan didn't hurt, either.
But that's it for Timashov in juniors: because for this upcoming season, he's going professional with the Toronto Marlies.

Because he's a 1996 birthday, Timashov is eligible to go professional for the 2016-17 season. He doesn't have much left to prove at the junior level, so this is probably the right move - and a really exciting one, as the Leafs keep their pipeline of prospects moving through the Marlies.
