Puck Drop: 7:30PM TSN

Last night the Devils pasted Pittsburgh to take over the division lead in the Atlantic. SkinnyFish and I watched them generate two breakaways 20 seconds apart while penalty killing to score a shorthanded goal. New Jersey shut down Pittsburgh and dominated them all night. That doesn't bode well for the Leafs.

However New Jersey swept Pittsburgh in their season series so they're nothing if not consistent. The Leafs and Devils play their final game of the season against each other tonight and the past three weren't terrible for Toronto. On January 29th the Leafs lost 4-5 in OT in New Jersey. Four days later Giguere shut them out at the ACC before the Leafs lost 3-4 to the Devils in New Jersey the next game. The Devils are second in the Eastern conference. Heading into this matchup at 1-1-1 against them means our boys have played the Devils harder than the Penguins. That's not terrible.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere gets the start across from Martin Brodeur.

Fredrik Sjostrom (aka Shoe Storm aka Sjobacca) returns from injury with his funny nicknames and excellent PK ability. From @MapleLeafs on Twitter Wayne Primeau and Jeff Finger are the scratches so it looks like we'll see more Garnet Exelby tonight. Toronto is now only four points behind Carolina who have a game in hand. Let's Flourish for Fowler (R)(TM)(Patent Pending)!
