I usually take a small break during my Sunday morning (Vietnam time) classes to check on the progress of the Leaf game on each Saturday. The Leafs lost? Bummer. The Leafs lost to the Canadiens? Even more so. It's extra homework for those kids today.
If life hands you lemons, you wing those lemons right back, and add some rocks of your own. Screw you, universe!
Here are your links, starting with a recap from Sean Gordon at the Globe and Mail:
Put simply, the Leafs had no answer once Desharnais engineered a 1-0 Montreal lead. Lupul, acquired to provide some offensive punch, was largely invisible other than his fisticuffs with Subban, and Toronto sniper Phil Kessel seemed to go into a funk after seeing a good scoring chance go begging in the first. The Leafs would muster a comparatively modest 27 shots on the night, few of which could be called dangerous.
