The CWHL released the 2016-17 regular season schedule today, along with a new logo to celebrate their 10th season (I'm sure elseldo will check the math). Beyond the logo, the league announced that each team will hold a Heritage Game, "honouring team alumni and those who have contributed to the growth of their team and the league over the past 10 years".
According to the league's press release, series of special features will also be hosted on CWHL.ca over the course of the year, retelling the stories of the league as well as providing fans with a behind the scenes look at the league’s growth and evolution from its founding to today.
“10 years is a significant achievement for any sporting league and the CWHL is thrilled to celebrate this milestone with fans, players, and partners throughout the 2016-17 season.” CWHL commissioner Brenda Andress said.
“Not only will we have a chance to look back at the amazing stories and moments that make up the CWHL’s history so far and reflect on this incredible journey, but we will have the chance to look forward as we pave the way for the future of the women’s game and the CWHL.”

Season tickets are now onsale. A season ticket package includes admission to all 12 home games, a 2017 All-Star game ticket, a coupon for a discount on merchandise and 2 coupons to bring a friend when accompanied by a season ticket holder. New this year the CWHL is also offering the option of a 12-game flex pack, which includes all the extras of a season ticket package but allows attendance at any 12 CWHL games during the season. This may be of particular interest to GTA fans who want to support both teams.
Single game tickets will become available after the CWHL Draft, which takes place in Toronto on August 21st.
