The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has signed forward Connor Dewar to a one-year contract. The value of the contract is $1.18 million.
Dewar was acquired in trade at the deadline last year from Minnesota.
One year at $1.18 million puts him in the same bracket as Conor Timmins, Simon Benoit and Bobby McMann. The amount you can bury in the minors is $1.15 million, making this deal a small amount higher, as a nod to Dewar's likely place as a regular depth forward.
The Leafs still have Nick Robertson and Alex Steeves unsigned.
