It's Monday Tuesday morning which means two things: that it's time to head to the polls and vote in the Fan Confidence Poll and that Canadian Thanksgiving is the only one that makes any sense. It's about the harvest dummies. Last week's tally was 66 which gives us a run of 64-68-66-60-61-66 since the inception of the poll. A reminder that what we're trying to track is your thoughts on the following: How likely are the Leafs to make the playoffs?

So what happened over the past week?

  1. The PPPPodcast returned! We usually don't get much feedback but we really like making it so if you have any thoughts on possible topics or suggestions drop them in the comments.
  2. The Leafs made the final cuts, some even controversial, to their roster. Then the Puppy Training Tool Toronto Sun decided to rip on the franchise's top prospect. Burke was not amused and I hope he does something more than point out that the paper is best used to collect actual shit and not just written shit.
  3. 1967ers selected Paul Henderson to kick off the official Leaf of the Day season. Henderson was selected as a Leaf that most symbolizes what the team must be in order to be successful.
  4. Opening night wasn't as dominant as we would have liked but the Leafs pulled out a 3-2 win over the Habs. Phil Kessel, Tim "the Legend" Brent, and Clarke MacArthur helped bring the two points home.
  5. A solid start to the season (guess how many games it took to get 2 wins last year?) continued with a lambasting of the Ottawa Senators 5-1 on Saturday night in front of the entire country. And Colton Orr ensured there was a cherry on top of the sundae by beating Zombie Carkner for a fourth time.
