With Clarke MacArthur's rocket over Ryan Miller's glove he pushed his career high for goals to 20. He joined Phil Kessel, Nikolai Kulemin, and Mikhail Grabovski as Maple Leafs that have hit the 20 goal plateau this season. This isn't the first time the Leafs have had this many 20 goal scorers since the lockout or close to it.
- In the first year after the lockout the Leafs only had three but they also had two more at 19 goals. Three of them were over 30, one was a young Alex Ponikarovsky while the other was Jeff "Bacon Double Cheeseburger Pizza" O'Neill.
- The next season the Leafs hit four 20 goal scorers and once more Alex Ponikarovsky was the only one that could pass for young.
- Two years ago the Leafs actually had five 20 goal scorers. The only one remaining with the team is Mikhail Grabovski./
This year's crop are the youngest: Kessel is 23, Kulemin is 24, MacArthur is 25, and Grabovski is the elder statesman at 27. You can see the problem with the offence lies in a lack of secondary scoring. Hopefully, this means that the majority of the team's primary scoring is settled.
