I'll spare you all from pointing out that dressing Jay Rosehill in no way prevented Chris Neil from cheapshotting one of our best players and instead will point out that if he's not suspended for their first matchup I hope Colton Orr caves his face in.
But the title's true. Somehow this cheapshot goon has escaped punishment throughout his entire career.
James Reimer looked shaky to start but it's pretty hard for anyone to stop cross crease tap ins or save pucks when someone's sitting on them and their own players force it in the net. Reimer settled down nicely and gave the Leafs the chance to win tonight. He finished at 32/35 for a .914 tonight.
Nikolai Kulemin's goal came from both him and Mikhail Grabovski crashing the net hard. Who says europeans aren't willing to go to the dirty areas?
In fact the entire MGK line got on the scoresheet tonight, Grabovski had a goal and two assists, Kulemin had a goal and Clarke MacArthur added an assist and this:
Wait he scored over Lehner's glove! I bet we won't get years of "Robin Lehner has a bad glove hand" articles like we get with Reimer.
Finally, Cody Franson scored a goal off of Darryl Boyce and John-Michael Liles scored as well, it's nice to see the defense joining the production. The Leafs need to work on their PK but they came back from 2-0 to win 5-3, I'll take it.
