6 goals in 5 games since switching to black tape. Of course, it's nothing more than a sticky, 1 inch wide placebo but it's worked magic for Kessel. He's taken back the team lead in goals with 25, and is tied for 15th in the league with guys like Jarome Iginla and Brenden Morrow. He's awful. We should trade him.....or maybe not.
Kessel Lifts Leafs Over Habs - Sean Gordon
It’s a truism: winning teams are close-knit teams, and Bozak, author of three points on the night, said the good feelings from the current hot spell have created a new climate around the team.
"Last year we weren’t this close when I was here, everyone’s excited and looking forward to keeping this thing going. We’re not worried about what other teams are doing," he said.
Everybody loves a winner, and everyone wants to be a part of a winning team. Good karma has a way of making the bounces go your way and the Leafs are taking full advantage of that fact to the tune of a 6-2-2 record over their last 10. If they keep that pace up for the remaining 21 games, they'll earn 29-30 points...........good enough for 90-91 on the season and dare I say it........PLAYOFFS!!!!!1 Hold onto your hats Leafs fans, this is going to be a bumpy ride down the home stretch.
