For some inexplicable reason Mike Komisarek is allowed to skate on the ice with James van Riemsdyk and during this unnatural dance between a hockey player and Mike Komisarek our press box filler hit JVR in the skate with a slapshot.
Perhaps the press box has a weight bench, perhaps Mike Komisarek has grown strong from carrying around his modest expectations on his underwhelming talent, who can say? All that we know is the JVR had x-rays on his foot and it doesn't sound serious (thank Wendel).
We'll keep you updated as this story develops.
Update: Good news as JVR went to have his foot x-rayed and it's just a bruise. Colton Orr however dislocated a finger.
