Today was Auston MAtthews first official practice with the Maple Leafs and it was all going well, but had an explosive ending:

A player who has had his name on the lips of every Leafs fan around the world all summer has brought more attention to his first day in Blue & White, even though it was unintentional. Matthews told reporters at the Mastercard Centre that “it was the worst shot of my life”.
It’s nice to see Mitch Marner and Matthews getting along so well on day 1. Now if Marner can set up Matthews in a game, all Auston will need to do is fix that aim a little. How will the brass see this move?
