Auston Matthews has been named the NHL’s rookie of the month for December, beating out Patrick Laine, Sebastian Aho, Matt Murray, and Matthew Tkachuk.
In December Matthews score eight goals and added four assist in twelve games, and saw the Leafs record go 6-3-3 in the month, with a four game winning streak to close out the year.
Matthews joins William Nylander in the rookie of the month club, Nylander won the award for October this season.
This is going to turn into a copy/paste post I’m sure.
