With the World Cup of Hockey taking place in Toronto, it doesn’t just give Toronto fans a chance to watch fantastic hockey up close and in person - it gives Toronto Maple Leafs players that chance, too.
Well, for those who aren’t actually playing in the tournament, that is.
Four such Leafs were in attendance to watch Team North America defeat Team Finland 4-1 - which was probably not the result Kasperi Kapanen was hoping for.

Wait, wait, wait, hold up. We’ve got a conflicting story here.
Rooting for our boys @LKomarov @AM34 and @mriles4 - lets go fellas! Not sure which team to cheer for though.....? pic.twitter.com/Um3l5kfKbZ

Kapanen can be forgiven for his bias, but were the other three really on his side? They were probably on Leo Komarov’s side, but hey, no matter what country (or gimmick) you support, you’ve gotta support Auston Matthews and Morgan Rielly, too. It’s only fair. Team Dad Brooks Laich would know this.
And with William Nylander and Viktor Loov being Swedes... hmm...
Go Leafs seems like the correct call here!
