Canada vs. Sweden
8 p.m. ET at Centre Bell, Montréal
Watch on: MAX, truTV, TNT, SN, TVAS as well as Viaplay/TV6 in Sweden

Format

This tournament is very simple. Each team plays the three other teams once, and points are awarded in a three-point system that will be familiar to all PWHL fans and matches the system used in IIHF games.

3 points for a win in regulation time; 2 points for a win in overtime/shootout; 1 point for a loss in overtime/shootout; and 0 points for a loss in regulation time

The two teams with the most points play off in a one-game final. A tie would be broken by the head-to-head result.

This is an NHL event using the NHL rulebook and NHL referees. The exception is overtime rules:

Overtime is 10 minutes of three-on-three in the round robin followed by a shootout if necessary. The championship game will have NHL playoff-style overtime if necessary and no shootout.

Sweden

The home team for this game, Sweden had their morning skate first. Sam Hallam is the head coach and Stefan Klockare, Nicklas Rahm and Daniel Alfredsson are the assistants. Hallam is the fulltime head coach of Team Sweden for the men's division.
