We've all long accepted that it's better long-term for the Leafs to lose games. However, it's also crap to lose against your stupid rivals that finally have a team better than yours for the first time in 14 years. So tonight will be a tough game to watch because the Habs are red-hot and the Leafs are about as far to the other extreme as possible. The only thing I worry about is that the Leafs traditionally respond very well after being blown out. Anyway, here's some stuff to read while you figure out whether you want a win over your rivals or a better chance at Stamkos.

Jason reminds us that losing is cool.
Lois Kalchman has a nice story about a young hockey player doing his part to fight cancer.
Loser Domi has the sixth installment of her Leafer Madness series up. Carlo has elephant feet? I don't know where this is going but at least Woz is out of the story.
Kevin McGran reports that the cap will go up by as much as $3M. Then he mentions Belak, Woz, and Pohl as free agents. I don't think we'll have to worry about them...
Kim Jorn looks at one of life's biggest mysteries. No, not Howard Berger still has a job or how a limo driver in Montreal has no clue about hockey but the real essential question in Leafs' fans lives: Why do we get the kind of hate reserved for Yankees fans when we are more akin (ie exactly the same) as Boston fans? Meh, who cares. Screw other hockey fans.
