Tonight the NHL is announcing the schedule for the coming 2021-2022 season. The easiest place to find that schedule is at NHL.com/schedule. They may be slightly delayed in updating that after this announcement tonight, but it’s not like you can buy tickets to Leafs games yet.
The 2021-22 @NHL season will open on Oct. 12th with the @TBLightning raising their #StanleyCup banner followed by the debut of the @SeattleKraken in Vegas. Day 2 has a four-game slate with a pair of all-Canadian matchups.

As of tonight we don’t know the following:
- When tickets will be sold and what the capacity limits or other rules will be
- What the border travel rules will be in October
- If there is going to be a 2022 Winter Olympics that features NHL players
- Who is on left wing on the top line of the Maple Leafs
Once we know those things, planning a game night will get a little easier.
If you really need to know know what’s going on, here you go.
