#Leafs placed Zach Bogosian on LTIR today. It's retroactive to April 20, which provides the minimum 10 games need to be placed on LTIR.

First Zach Hyman, then Ilya Mikheyev, and now Zach Bogosian joins the list of recent Leafs injuries.
Bogosian left Tuesday’s game after an awkward fall into the boards trying to gain possession of the puck. Based on the way it went down, it looked as if it could’ve been a lower-body injury, but you can see the way his upper body made contact in combination with the speed of the event.

Thankfully he got up afterwards and skated off pic.twitter.com/0bKr1VG5Ky
Bogosian skated off on his own, but he didn’t return that game (which could’ve hinted at it being an upper-body injury rather than a lower-body), and now we know the shortest length of time he’ll be out of the lineup.
Sheldon Keefe says Zach Bogosian will miss a minimum of four weeks with a shoulder injury @TSN_Edge

Bogosian played 45 games for the Leafs this season, used predominantly on the third pair with Travis Dermott. He had a total of four assists but saw the majority of his value on the penalty kill and in tight-game situations when Keefe chose to shut things down as opposed to continuing the offence. He was a physical presence that the Leafs have wanted from their defence.
Four weeks is a long time, and depending on the schedule, this injury could see him miss a portion of the playoffs.
Luckily, Rasmus Sandin has looked more than comfortable in the lineup with Dermott, while Timothy Liljegren, Ben Hutton and Martin Marincin are still options behind them. It’s moments like these where depth is important, and hopefully, there won’t be more reasons to pick from it in these final games of the regular season.
