The rest of the first round amounts to up to five games, so below the threshold for which an in-person hearing is required.
The video shows the play, and describes why this warranted supplementary discipline. They emphasize that he did not lose control of his stuck. The statement, “This is not a hockey play,” is the key to this result. The DoPS has stated they are cracking down on non-hockey plays.
They then go on to discuss Kadri’s bad acts, and how that played into their response.
