The schedule for the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championships has been announced, and this year, it'll be taking place in Toronto and Montreal. The championships kick off on Monday, December 26 at both Bell Centre and Air Canada Centre with Sweden vs. Denmark and US vs. Latvia, respectively, and run through the final on January 5th. Home ice advantage for Canada's youth will be nice, and hopefully this year they'll take home some hardware too!

The event will be hosted at the same venues like at the 2015 World Juniors but with reversed roles for Montreal and Toronto.In the Preliminary Round from 26 to 31 December, Toronto will host the group with Russia, the United States, Canada, Slovakia and Latvia that will conclude with the USA-Canada New Year’s Eve game.
Montreal will host Finland, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Denmark and Switzerland in the Preliminary Round.
Toronto will also host two quarter-final games while Montreal will be the venue for two other quarter-final games – including Canada’s quarter-final game pending qualification –, both semi-finals, the medal games and the best-of-three relegation round.
