It was difficult for me to figure out what to write for this game preview. I can't believe that a whole season and post-season is riding on one, possibly two, games -- it's quite honestly some of the most painful and intense hockey I've ever watched, or will watch in a long time (knowing how crazy hockey can be). There's not much left to say. Everybody already knows the following things:
- This series is incredibly close. In fact, it's so close that these two teams are only separated by ONE GOAL.
- Everybody is injured.
- The Cup is in Chicago,
- And Steven wants it.
- Meanwhile, the Blackhawks are planning their parade route./
Stanley Cup Final schedule:
Game | Date | Time | Location | Network |
6 | Mon 6/15 | 8 PM | United Center | NBC, CBC, TVA |
7 | Wed 6/17 | 8 PM | Amalie | NBC, CBC, TVA |
But none of this stuff matters much any more. Tonight the Blackhawks are on the "brink of a dynasty," and I would like nothing more than to see my young and dumb Southern team topple this Goliath.
Win it, Tampa Bay Lightning!
Bring it home for Game 7.
But win or lose, I have to say, it's been the best fucking season since 2004.
We've come a long long way together
