Andrew Shaw bites Victor Hedman https://t.co/OlP9GJJcrK

In the words of Andrew Shaw, "That's hockey."
In Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final, there was a scrum. Tiny little agitator Shaw thought that Victor Hedman was gunning for Patrick Kane, and decided to get all protective.
"He went after one of our better players," Shaw said. "That creates the scrums. We're just battling out there. I expect battles with him in front of the net the rest of the series, as well."
Hedman said that his own impetus was to protect Bishop from getting abused by Kane. Hedman hit Kane into the boards after Kane attempted to dig a puck out of Bishop's glove.
During the scrum that followed, Hedman got Shaw into a pretty firm headlock. If I were a tiny person who, uh, bit off more than I could chew, I might try to get out of that in any way possible too.
Did he actually bite Victor Hedman? On the bench after the alleged bite, Hedman lifted his shirt, showing a red bite-shaped contusion, and seemed to mouth to Brendan Morrow, "He bit me."
Afterwards, a reporter asked Hedman to lift his shirt and show people the bite mark (seriously, someone did this), but Hedman was coy. "No, I like to have a shirt on,’’ Hedman said to the reporter.
Afterwards, neither one of the participants in the scrum felt like talking about it. "I'm not going to go into details," Shaw said after Friday's practice at Amalie Arena. "We're here to focus on the next game."
And as far as Hedman goes, he had nothing but sweet things to say to Andrew Shaw.
"(He’s) a player that you want on your team," Hedman said. "You want a player like that who can get under people’s skin. He’s a great player. He’s a big presence in front of the net. He’s tough to play against. I really like players who play the style he does. He stuck up for Kane. I stood up for my goalie. That’s how things should be on the ice."
Player safety reviewed the situation and found no need to reprimand Shaw for his little love bite.
The incident did remind people of another infamous biting incident, one that took place in a game on February 9th, 2013, between the Leafs and the Habs.
In this game, the Leafs defeated the bleu, blanc et rouge team 6-0, and along the way, Mikhail Grabovski got to sink his teeth into Max Pacioretty. The scrum behind the net actually involved Grabovski, Pacioretty, and Brandon Prust -- so I figure Grabbo actually thought he was biting Prust. I can't fault him for that, Prust is one of those special players that might even warrant a good chomp.
For old time's sake, you can watch the video here, and you can read more about the history of biting in the NHL over here.
As for tonight's game, Jon Cooper is teasing the world with Jonathan Drouin again. Has he figured out that Morrow sucks? That maybe he needs "depth scoring" to win against the Blackhawks? Or will he take it back and run 11/7 tonight?
Here's what he says:
Asked what he expects from Drouin, Cooper joked that he expects every player to have a hat trick. "So what is that, 60-0?"

There is also some bullshit from Steve Simmons about an off-season trade because Drouin was frustrated. Who knows where this came from, but I'm not linking to the article.
Doesn't say where he got this from, but Steve Simmons suggests quite a rift is developing between Cooper and Drouin: pic.twitter.com/HGPd5Tk2Xk

We'll see, Simmons. We'll see.
Who wins the game?
