Last night host Quebec Remparts got their revenge against the QMJHL champion Rimouski Oceanic. From being denied the right to hold both the host and champion title in their own arena the Remparts are now on mission to prove that they aren't just lucking into the Memorial cup (Shawinigan). The Kelowna Rockets dominated the WHL playoffs and came up relatively short in the Memorial Cup tournament. Scoreboards aside I think this has been an excellent tournament so far and any of these teams deserves the cup. Except Rimouski, since they are eliminated.

Kelowna has been off since Tuesday, when they lost 2-1 to the Oshawa Generals. They received their bye to the semi-finals when the Remparts and Oceanic also ended their round robin with 1-2-0 records but Kelowna had the better goal differential (at +1 it shows how tight these games have been). The Remparts will be playing their third game in 3 days. Junior teams are used to that schedule but will the well rested Rockets take advantage of this? or will they be just as off their game due to the 3 days layoff?
The winner of this series will play the seemingly unbeatable Oshawa Generals, but don't forget that Oshawa only won their games by a single goal each time, and they'll have had quite a long break after getting a bye to the final.
This will be quite the game tonight. Kelowna will want to prove how they are still the dominant tea they were in the WHL playoffs, and the Remparts will want to do their home town fans proud.
If you don't get any of the above channels you can stream the radio call on Sportsnet590, no geo restrictions there or click here to get a video stream.
Enjoy the games everyone!
