Welcome to Pension Plan Puppets. This is the latest addition to SportsBlog Nation's growing stable of hockey blogs. I'll be joining Die By The Blade, Winging It In Motown, and Mile High Hockey. It's fitting that the Leafs blog would be the 4th to come online since, if the last 14 years of my life have taught me anything, it is that 4th place is the team's ceiling. Except this year. This year is the year.
As for me, I'm PPP. You might recognize that trifecta of Ps from such sites as The Battle of Ontario or my original site of the same name. I was born a Leaf fan and I'll die a Leaf fan and in between I probably won't see any Cups won by the boys in blue and white but like any true fan I'll stick with the team through the bad times (see: the 1980s and Allan Bester) and the good (see: Leafs v. sens playoff series).
If you're coming over from either of the aforementioned sites then you will have a good idea of what kind of content you'll see. For the newcomers, you'll see whatever catches my eye. Posts will run the gamut from the emotional to game-day open threads to statistical analysis with everything in between. I'll do my best to bring you the best writing about the Leafs whether it's my own concoction or your own diary post. In short, I hope to build a community of Leaf fans discussing their team because when they inevitably break our hearts we'll all need a digital shoulder to weep on.
