Nice to see Andrew Raycroft pick up 41 saves in a meaningless game. It's not like that kind of performance might have helped the team when he was piling up his 4.07 GAA while Toskala was out. Hope you enjoyed your last game in a Leafs' jersey buddy.

I could have cared less about the outcome of this game. I was much more concerned about the senators-Habs and Canes-Caps' game which both turned out as well as I could have hoped. The sens now come to Toronto, losers of four straight against the buds, on the verge of dropping out of the playoffs. It will be a remarkable fall for the Dynasty That Never Was to go from The Best Team Evar!!!! to out of the playoffs. It would possibly be one of the most spectacular collapses in hockey history. And it would be the hockey God's small gift to Leaf fans for leaving us bereft of playoff hockey for three straight seasons. Don't worry guys, the real gift comes in 2012 when the Leafs win the Cup.

So tonight will be spent watching the Flyers' and Bruins' scores and hoping that it will be an 8th place Ottawa that comes to town tomorrow. Be still my heart.

Update: This piece by MF37 is a must-read. He manages to hand the Toronto media a guide to properly following the Leafs on a silver platter. Brilliant piece and a solid read.

  • Sean mentions some pranks that players could have done for April Fools. The only fool here is me for finding it too late but it's still funny.
MF37 wonders if last night's shootout was fair for the teams that the Sabres are chasing. Fair, schmair. Brodeur didn't play last year!
Steve thinks it's a done deal that McCabe is gone after this year. It's starting to look like Pavel Kubina will be sticking around at his expense.
Loser Domi has more funny pictures and they have reminded me to go back and see more LOLcats.
Sherry feels lost watching the senators. I feel happy. Life's about the differences.
Senators Lost Cojones tries reverse psychology on his team and it results in a loss. Mark my words, if the sens miss the playoffs his season recap will likely be the greatest thing a Leaf fans' read since the Doug Gilmour trade from Montreal was announced./
