It took seven games - and a very late Game 7 deciding goal, at that - but the Toronto Marlies have moved on to the third round of the Calder Cup playoffs. They'll face the Hershey Bears in the next best of seven series for the right to take on the champions from the Western Conference - one of the Ontario Reign or Lake Erie Monsters - in order to hoist the Calder Cup.
And it all gets started again in four days' time, on May 20 in Hershey.

Look at that! If the series goes seven games - or if the Marlies win it, either way - a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs organization will still be playing hockey in June.
It'd be awesome if the Marlies made this a reality. And after they finally took down the Albany Devils, who doesn't want to see that?
